The First "Faux"toshoot...

Once Upon a time, a loving husband bought his darling wife the camera she has always dreamed of! She was so excited she spent days clicking away at all she saw through her lens and reading everything she could online. Then she had a great idea...she was going to take her sons first birthday pics! It was going to be great. She prepared by gathering a shot list, buying a backdrop and some props, which included a smash cake and balloons. It was perfect! She set-up a perfect make shift studio which would capture the perfect celebratory pics. But when the little prince came onto the set the shoot didn't quite go as planned...who am I kidding it went so not the way I planned.

For starters apparently he hates the feel of icing. Then I was sure he would dive right into eating it being that it is so sweet...nope. All he carried about was the multi-colored candle on top which he proceeded to take off then scoot his way around the cake and off set with a trail of icing to follow. Grrrr...I was so disappointed. My whole 2 hour set-up was for naught. Boo!

See now this is where the story gets back on track...

Little did the little prince know, but his Mommy doesn't give up too easy. Since the cake wasn't smashed and the balloons were still good Mommy spent the next hour cleaning the make shift studio and preparing it for Rd 2. Even if that means little prince needs a wrangler named DaDa, she will get her pics!
